How to Pump Fake in Madden 22

There are many different tools in the QB arsenal to land those crucial plays. Players need to know what they’re doing out on the field if they want to find success. Learning to throw and run is just the start. Madden 22 has refined and improved a ton of features this year.

Players’ customization options have expanded a ton, for one thing. Take The Yard, you could make your own character, but they were locked to that mode last year. Madden 22 aims to change that. The Avatar in Madden 22 will apply across many more gameplay modes. Speaking of gameplay modes, you have a lot to learn about how to upgrade your teams. That’s where things like the Team Captain Tokens come into play. Another common currency you need to make use of is Training Points in Madden 22.

But anyway, back to the passes you need to throw. You can use a variety of passes in MUT, franchise mode and more. And the situation on the field dictates how you play. Knowing when and where to throw a certain type of pass can protect you from a pick or other disaster. A perfect example of something that’s misused a lot is the bullet. A bullet pass will be useful to get between a few defenders at a short distance. But, it’s very unreliable at range. Something a bit longer range like a touch pass in Madden 22 might be preferable for receivers further down the field.

To perform a touch pass in Madden 22, you will need to find an open receiver and press and release the corresponding button for that player. Holding the button down will throw a bullet, so be sure not to hold it down too long. If you tap the button, you’ll initiate a lob pass, so the timing is very tricky. You will want to practice this as much as you can. That way, you know how long to hold the button for.
