New World is a very unforgiving setting for a new MMO. Players will encounter many different challenges and threats in their time with it. As you adventure across the various regions, you’re bound to take damage. Things will get much tougher as you level up, this is certainly not a game for those not willing to put in the time and take on tough foes. One thing that’s a core focus of the new MMO is crafting.
With all the different crafting recipes, players have a lot to do. You will need to make your own item at some point. One of the first items you should learn to make is Weak Health Potions in New World. Not only can they help keep you alive, but potions are a good money spinner. You can spend much of your time gathering herbs and making potions to sell on the Trading post. For starters though, let’s go over the basics of making potions.
How to heal in New World
You have many different healing potions in the game, one of the easiest for new players to handle are the Weak Health Potions in New World. The Weak Health Potion requires one unit of Water and one tier 1 Medician Reagent. Basically, you can craft potions using any ingredient that belongs to the right class. You will often need herbs and loot from animals to make various potions. You can also unlock other recipes which use different herbs. You then need to take these to an Arcane Repository and combine them. You will find the recipe under the Concoctions listing in the crafting menu.
You do have other healing options beyond potions, especially in the early game. Rations that can be made from Raw Meat are pretty useful.
Other options for Healing potions include:
- Common Heath Potion – 1 Tier 2 Medical Reagents + 1 Water
- Strong Health Potion – 1 Tier 3 Medical Reagents + 1 Earth Reagents + 1 Water
- Powerful Health Potion – 1 Tier 4 Medical Reagents + 1 Earth Reagents + 1 Spirit Reagents + 1 Water
- Infused Health Potion – 1 Tier 5 Medical Reagents + 1 Earth Reagents + 1 Spirit Reagents + 1 Water
Not everybody has the patience or dedication for crafting, so you can also buy them at the Trading Post.
There are many different items you can make and cook in New World. Amazon’s new game is all about crafting. One of the core elements in both cooking and alchemy is herbs in the game. You will need to gather herbs and other supplies to make more of these potions. You can also use them to make more powerful potions for higher-level content.
