How to craft a Hunter’s Cloak in Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6

One of the challenges for Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 6 Week 1 is to collect mechanical parts from vehicles, trailers, buses, or tractors. The goal is to run around the island and find suitable cars you can use to harvest components. It might sound simple, but it’s a bit harder than it first appears. Here’s what you need to do.

How to collect mechanical parts from vehicles, trailers, buses or tractors in Fortnite

Any car will work, be they trucks, trailers or other big vehicles. Other smaller vehicles might work.  Vehicles can be found all over the place, and you just need to smack them a few times. Every few hits, a mechanic part will drop off of the vehicle. All you need to do is hit any of the listed vehicles with your harvesting tool, and you get components. When you have collected some, you will be able to open the inventory and see them listed under the Crafting tab. Once you have managed to grab 5 of these parts, you should see the challenge completed message pop up.

If you find yourself smacking away and only getting basic items like metal after more than a few hits, move on. Some cars might not be setup to give the necessary mechanical parts, and it could be a bug.

You might be wondering why this is a thing, it’s because of the new crafting system. Epic has decided to bring gear and weapon crafting to Fortnite in Chapter 2, and this challenge is designed to teach players how to get materials.
