Ubisoft is still putting in good work with Assassin’s Creed Odyssey, and the latest new addition will offer more challenge for veteran fans who have already bested the story of the excellent stabbing and stealth simulator. The game offers an already top shelf narrative and gameplay loop, with interesting characters, visceral action and tons of fun, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is already a great game. And with an upcoming update it’s going to get even better.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is great, we all know that, and veteran players especially know that quite well. Having beaten the game thoroughly, one would think they’ve now moved on to other titles, but Ubisoft is now trying to pull them back in. That’s due to a planned update which will expand the offerings in this already massive title with a New Game Plus option.
You read that right, Alexios and Kassandra will return to stalking the land hunting treasure, beasts and bad guys with a new mode that significantly alters the challenge. Enemies will be tougher, powerful loot will likely be rarer, and the game be harder overall. Though Ubisoft aren’t sadists, they’ll at least let you carry over your save data from a previous outing to improve your chances of survival.
Ubisoft plans to drop more details about this planned update soon. Until then, why not drop into the game and take a stab at taking down some of the in-game event bosses, like Arges the Cyclops. And that’s not all either, the title has also gotten some DLC content too. Outside of New Game Plus, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has also been releasing new installments in its Legacy of the First Blade, with the most recent installment being the DLC’s second episode that released last month. If you want to know more, why not take a look at the post-launch DLC planned for the game.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is available now on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The New Game Plus update doesn’t have a release date yet, we’ll let you know when we see it.
