There are also a few things to keep in mind. The races in the real world tend to be long for the sake of competition, but video games don’t need to abide by this rule. And you can alter the race length at any time. Here’s what you need to do.
The options you have for changing race length in F1 2021 will vary somewhat by game mode.
Career mode has no real restrictions, you can change the length of each race, plus the length of practice and qualifying sessions. Do this by selecting the options button on the upper-right corner of the main hub for each race. Select the square and go into the Match Race Length setting. Choose the option that works for you. Short races will be five laps, Medium races will be 25% of the traditional amount of laps, and Long races are the full amount.
Grand Prix events buy the option in the menus a bit. You have three options in Grand Prix events: Short, Medium, or Long, Depending on how you want to set it up. Go into the Weekend Structure tab to find the same races settings that were listed above for career mode.
In these menus, depending on the mode, you can change the length of qualifying and practice runs as well.
