Ever since the reveal of F1 2019 earlier this year, fans have been enamored with the massive improvements to visuals, as well as the incoming gameplay changes that offer more cars, new tracks, and new gameplay modes.
One question has remained on the minds of a subset of racing game fans looking forward to this game. What will it take to run this improved racing sim on PC? And with the improved Career Mode and visual upgrades, the actual requirements for this title are very achievable.
The Career mode seems very appealing to me, as you can choose from a few different scenarios to try your hand at. These scenarios form the basis of your career save, as they define what kind of experiences you had in the new F2 Feeder Series added this year. Once you complete these, you make the jump to F1 and start your real career. I really like the customization and management aspects of this system, as it leaves plenty of room for experimentation.
But enough about that, let’s dig into the actual system specs for the game.
Even on the low-end with an Intel i3 or AMD FX series, you can get this game running at a decent 30 FPS on lower settings. Don’t expect any of those pretty lighting effects, although that’s a given. We don’t know how well optimized the PC version will be, so it’s possible that one of the console versions will be a better choice for more budget-minded fans.
And even the recommended specs are very reasonable. An i5 or Ryzen 5 is something most mid-range systems can meet or exceed these days. And with the coming launch of new Navi GPUs and a new Ryzen architecture, many people may be looking to upgrade. And such an upgrade will put gamers ahead of the curve and allow them to toggle on all of the bell and whistles in F1 2019.
