Electronic Arts has announced even more new content with an expansion pack for The Sims 4. What is this, like the 403rd expansion pack in Sims history?
This latest expansion pack, The Sims 4: Get Famous, is all about letting your Sims build the most glamorous life they possibly can. The update adds a bunch of new career paths, customization options, and new house decorations to the base game. So if you want to fill your abode with gold-plated garbage masquerading as furniture, this is your dream expansion!
This newest pack is going all-in on social media for Sims players. Sims can now be social media influencers or traditional film and TV stars. Build up your fame and fortune, all while attending swanky parties and social events. If you ever wanted to live out fantasies of being someone who embodies consumerism without thought for consequences in The Sims 4, this is your chance.
Of course you could also lock your rich Sims in a room with a swimming pool, wait until they all go swimming, then remove the ladder. Which is something a disturbingly high portion of the Sims fanbase seems to have done.
Grant Rodiek, Senior Producer on The Sims 4 revealed a bit more about this new expansion pack:
“With The Sims 4 Get Famous, players can achieve their wildest dreams of becoming a celebrity and all of the perks that come with fame in The Sims 4. From rubbing elbows with A-list celebrities at the studio, to star-studded VIP parties in the hills, Sims can now have it all. The development team has added a slew of fun, humorous, and lavish new gameplay content to ensure that fans, and their Sims, can experience the luxury lifestyle as they play with life, this time in the spotlight.”
The expansion also introduces a new region, Del Sol Valley. A town all about A-list celebs, socialites, and the obscenely wealthy. In other words, Del Sol Valley is the worst nightmare of anyone who hates the Kardashians.
The Sims 4 Get Famous is scheduled to arrive on both PC and Mac next month on November 16. Check out the preview trailer for the new content down below.
