Some of you retro game fans will remember the NES classic Burger Time, that puzzle-esque stacking title about making massive hamburgers. and it’s important, because Burgertime Party for the Nintendo Switch is coming back later this year. XSEED Games, the team behind various other releases like Senran Kagura and Wild Arms, is bringing the title to both the U.S. and European markets. The latter being achieved by a partnership with the European division of their MARVELOUS parent company.
In terms of gameplay, Burgertime Party will feature more than 100 levels, each one offering their own challenge to players. The formula from the classic NES release has been updated with more complex mechanics like freezing ladders and other movement impairments and hurdles to jump over. There’s even a ‘Battle Burger’ mode where one can face off against their friends to see who is the best burger chef.
The game is due out exclusively for the Switch later this year, on October 8th. Burgertime Party will sell for $19.99 on the Nintendo eShop. For those collectors out there, a physical copy will also be available for $29.99. Check out the trailer for the Switch title down below.
