Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 drops one final Blackout trailer

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Black Out Trailer

Treyarch has dropped one more trailer for the Battle Royale mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4. The intense multiplayer mode is set to change the face of CoD multiplayer, mostly because it’s so freaking fun. The new 80-player mode was announced a while ago, and the prospect has been making gamers hype for months, now they finally get to see what all the fuss was about.

There’s no single-player campaign, so this mode needs to be a main draw to pull people into buying the game. And judging by these trailers, which contain tons of vehicles, weapons, action and explosions, things are pretty tense.

The Blackout mode and it’s map contain multiple references to other maps and games in the franchise. There’s allusions to popular map Nuketown, as well as nods to past Zombie modes, singleplayer campaigns and a bunch of other funny little references scattered all over the map. And the Blackout map needs to be huge to contain all the chaos that’s going on, and it is. The map itself is built around a Nuketown core, but encompasses other areas such as Raid, Stronghold, and the construction site. Each of these areas has distinct themes and layouts, and it’s all designed for natural chokepoints to guide the action into clumps around the map.

Treyarch’s David Vonderhaar had the following to say about Blackout and the map in general: “This is the biggest map ever, 1,500 times the size of the Nuketown (map),” he added. “Because there’s a lot of players, there’s a lot of experience. And the whole point of the game is to survive, and how you survive involves the environment and the map collapsing, until there’s one winner.”

In case you want more BLOPS 4 action, there’s some fresh multiplayer action for fans. You should also check in on the PC system requirements if you plan on getting the game on that platform. If you want to see more of the battle royale “Blackout” mode, go on over and take a peek at the trailer for Blackout from a while back. If you’re totally nuts over this game and want the expensive Mystery Box edition, go check that out too.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is out now for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Check out the newest Blackout trailers for the game down below.
