Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 launches new Massive Fleet update

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 is an impressive game, both for Warhammer fans and for those that love space-based RTS action, but things are about to get much more chaotic. And that’s not just because there’s going to be a ton more Chaos forces scattered all over the battlefield.

In a new update to this particular strategy title from Tindalos and Focus Home Interactive, the latest update to the game will add a new gameplay mode which enables larger scale fights. Players will be able to wield fleets worth as many as 4,000 points in a single battle in this new mode, which opens up some really interesting potential for huge fleet fights.

The new mode will also expand the available ship roster for this skirmish mode by adding in ships that were previously exclusive to missions in the campaigns. Now players can blast their way through enemy formations with multiple new craft the Imperial Phalanx and Tyranid Ancient One. These Titan-class vessels are stupidly powerful, and are very breaking to game balance. So throwing some of these at an enemy fleet can cause major problems for the opposition.

Tindalos and Focus Home Interactive also have plans to drop a new grand campaign which will massively expand the strategic layer in the campaign game modes. There’s no launch date for this update, or other details, available as of yet.

Battlefleet Gothic: Armada 2 is out now for PC. And the new Massive Fleet update is out now as well. Check out the stream put on by the team behind the game
