The Surge unveils its newest expansion ‘The Good, the Bad, and the Augmented’
Take a trip to the Wild Wild West in the latest expansion for The Surge. The Good, the Bad, and the Augmented takes players on a journey deeper into the world of The Surge, and into the seedy underbelly of CREO and its operations.
This latest expansion picks up with Warren as he attempts to uncover more of the terrible secrets hidden deep in CREO facilities. One of these facilities is the lab of mad scientist Dr. Rischboter. As you play through The Good, the Bad, and the Augmented you’ll face a variety of “training rooms” filled with augmented and bio-engineered enemies bent on crushing you to pieces. Each section of the expansion is part of a wider challenge dungeon of sorts, and players can apply up to four different modifiers to each room to unlock special rewards. Be aware though that each room contains a Challenger as a final boss that will be much tougher as you apply more modifiers.
In terms of new content, we can expect new weapons, items, armor and tons of new and unique enemies. The game maintains much of its tech-heavy Souls-like combat system, so expect this expansion to be pretty challenging for both new and old players. Things are about to get a lot crazier, so you better come prepared.
The Surge is out now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. The Good, the Bad, and the Augmented launches for all platforms on October 2, 2018. You can view the teaser for the DLC down below.
