Saber Interactive and Focus Home Interactive have launched the next iteration of the Spintires: Mudrunner franchise. Get your boots on and get ready to get dirty with Spintires: MudRunner American Wilds.
Spintires: MudRunner American Wilds is the latest expansion to the indie off-roading simulator, and it’s quite good.
There’s a bunch of new vehicles to get dirty in. Trucks from Ford, Chevrolet, GM and more are now in the fleet of monster muddin’ trucks, cars and other vehicles. Autos like the Ford F-150, the Chevrolet K5 Blazer, and GM’s iconic Hummer are being added in this expansion, among many others.
There are two new maps in this update as well. Mount Logmore and Grizzly Creek, two new sandbox maps inspired by the rugged landscapes of Montana, North Dakota, and Minnesota are being added to the roster of rugged and muddy landscapes to trek through. Players can also take on new logistics challenges in these maps too.
And of course all of this is set against the backdrop of this game’s amazing physics engine with tons of terrain deformation and a whole load of realistic weight and body reactions. The devs really captured the heft of moving one of these monster vehicles around through the mud.
Spintires: MudRunner American Wilds launched this week for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. A version on the Nintendo Switch is also incoming at the end of November. You can check out the trailer for this new game down below.
