Slightly Mad Studios has released the PC system requirements for Project Cars 3. It’s time to figure out if your rig needs an upgrade. The new racing game will run on some modest hardware, but for the best experience, you want to aim for the higher-end of specs.
The minimum Project Cars 3 PC requirements are pretty basic to hit. You only need a Core i5 3450 or AMD FX-8350 at a slightly overclocked speed to get the game running. The GPU requirements come down to the very low-end, by modern standards, GTX 680. The GTX 680 is a comparatively ancient GPU, that really doesn’t hold up to modern titles in 2020. Any system running this level of hardware will likely be lucky to get 30 FPS averages in 1080p gaming.
The recommended settings for a rig are much more modern, and will give you easy 1080p gaming with Project Cars 3. The Intel i7 8700k or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X are both very capable CPUs that when paired with a solid GPU can easily handle up to 1440p gaming at decent framerates. Depending on your goals and system though, you may have to adjust some graphical settings.
