Wreckfest releases holiday update and new cars

Wreckfest Modified Monsters Car Pack

Today marks an early Christmas present for racing and demolition fans from THQ Nordic. Wreckfest is introducing a paid DLC pack, and a free update for all users. The Modified Monsters car pack features five new vehicles added to the game. The company also announced a free update as well.

As the publisher describes it, “the Modified Monsters Car Pack brings you a collection of five backyard built vehicles with a mix that will make you go hog-wild!” The Modified Monsters Car Pack introduces a big old handful of new vehicles to the already packed roster. These join the Backwood Bangers DLC that added many more strange cars to the lot. THQ Nordic has been pretty solid about adding interesting and creative new rides to Wreckfest, and these new additions will no doubt keep that trend alive.

And aside from the new DLC pack, Wreckfest is also dropping a new patch into the race. This new patch adds both holiday-themed and normal content into the mix. THQ Nordic is expanding on the progress made in the Fall Update by adding new modes, tracks and more to the racing title. There are two free tracks in the update, but that’s not all.

Players will also now be able to host their own lobbies via dedicated servers, mostly for better stability in-game. The update also includes a ton of new customization options for your cars. New variants of pretty much every body part are on offer.
