Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown Gripen E Trailer

Bandai Namco has unveiled the latest aircraft focus trailer for Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown. The new trailer demos the Saab Gripen E in action.

The Saab JS39 Gripen platform was originally a multirole fighter aircraft developed in the 1970s and 80s to replace the Saab 35 Draken and 37 Viggen. The resulting Gripen became a staple of both the Swedish airforce, and a major moneymaker for Saab as variants of the platform were sold across the globe. The Gripen E also referred to as Gripen NG or Super-JAS, is in production and features a variety of advanced avionics and weapons options. With improved radar options and better fuel capacity, this modern variant makes the NG/E ideal for a multitude of combat operations.

This will mark the debut of the Gripen E in the Ace Combat franchise.
