How to get Street Cred
The quests and various tasks listed in your Journal will often reward it, simple as that. Just keep checking in and seeing what tasks have been unlocked. You will also want to keep tabs on what your Street Cred level is, as this will confer various rewards. Check that on the main character screen in-game.
Money and other rewards like new gear can be earned in these missions too, so stay on top of them. Some Bounties may also affect Street Cred in Cyberpunk 2077 and earn you additional rewards.
What are Bounties?
Bounties are randomized tasks given out all across Night City. These can spawn anywhere and are usually related to some faction in-game. If you’re out and happen to spot an NCPD Scanner Hustle, it’s a good idea to check on it and see what it entails. Often the NCPD has put out a hit on a dangerous criminal that they want taken down. This can also happen with random crimes and hideouts spotted around the city, so be prepared.
When a Bounty does pop up, it will have a rating of one to five stars. That’s your cue to figure out how hard the mission will be to complete. The higher the bounty, the more Street Cred you receive, and the more dangerous they are. If you’re taking on Five Star Bounties, you better come loaded for bear.
Each bounty screen will give you some tips as well, like what kinds of elemental weaknesses they have, as well as their resistances.
Rewards for Bounty Hunting
The bounties you successfully complete give two main rewards, cash and Street Cred. You can also loot some very good gear from them if you’re lucky. So keep your eyes and ears peeled for what they have in store. You can become quite the legendary hunter if you’re lucky, or just crazy enough to take on the jobs no one else will.
