Update your Loot Filter for Path of Exile 3.8 and the Blight expansion

Path of Exile Blight Expansion Announced

We’re less than two days away from the launch of Path of Exile 3.8 and the anticipated Blight Expansion, and the community is getting antsy. Though it’s great to be excited, there’s some prep work to be done if you want to hop right into POE 3.8 and play with the utmost effectiveness. A big part of that prep, aside from picking a new build, is to make sure your Loot filter is up to date for the new content in the patch. Loot Filters that allow players to control what loot they see when it’s dropped, as well as how it’s displayed. This makes looting infinitely easier in-game, and really speeds up play. You absolutely should use a Loot Filter.

Also, be sure to check out our other Path of Exile 3.8 Guides:

There are literally dozens of different loot filters out there, and you can even make your own. The best way to handle this process of updating your filter for all the new items and changes is to use a pre-made one, although you can also customize your own from a variety of bases.

Neversink’s Loot Filter – The king of the roost when it comes to Loot Filters in POE. An incredibly detailed and customizable filter with multiple styles and display settings.

Greengrove’s Loot Filter  – Filter meant for a more style-oriented POE player. It has multiple color schemes like Amethyst, Atlantisite, Bloodstone, Jade, Zoisite and Game Like, each offering their own unique look. A shining example of creativity for any POE fan.

StupidFatHobbit’s Loot Filter – A filter meant for Racers and speed-oriented players. A very strict filter with multiple phases and variants. A great choice for a more experienced player.

Customizing a loot filter is hard work though, so if you want to go that route, several tools are made by the POE community to assist in the process. We strongly recommend FilterBlade for handling creating your own filter, it uses Neversink as a base and offers an insane degree of choice and customization. FilterBlast is another great option that has a lot more base filter types to choose from, but is a bit harder to use.

If you’re already set for a Loot Filter, why not take the time to pick your starter build? There’s no better time than now to take a look at the meta-game for Blight and to figure out what everyone else is playing. And if you need help, take a look at the rundown of all the skill changes in POE 3.8. That way, you can figure out exactly which skills are the best to play in this new minion and trap dominated landscape.

And if you want an overview of all the new and changed items, GGG supplied that for us, and it can be found below.
