Another week, another Around the Verse video edition from Cloud Imperium Games. This week showcases new player events, updates to player group systems, and a bunch of other future plans in the works. Let’s check it out.
This Around the Verse opens up with some more news about another player-run event in the game. In this case, it’s a series of races and obstacle “courses” involving rovers. People are also spending time leisurely cruising across planet surfaces too.
CIG comes through once again with more plans for new updates to the in-game group system as well. Part of those efforts are focusing on revamping the entire suite of notifications and permissions that will govern how players control their communication and friends. The dev team is pushing new QoL features into the system as well. The current system will eventually be deprecated and replaced by a much more fleshed out and useful UI and backend. The teams are also building a more thematically immersive UI experience around notifications and comms.
Check out the latest ATV video down below. Star Citizen is currently in Alpha 3.2, and heading toward it’s 3.3 update. Check out the latest patch notes on the official site. CIG has currently raised $191,852,884 from 2,069,611 backers overall.
To see more Star Citizen news, check out some of the other Around the Verse videos, or maybe you want to see some Squadron 42 gameplay. CIG has also responded to ongoing player outbursts over “Pay-to-Win” currency systems, and finally, you should see some really cool ships being build to Star Citizen.
