Temtem is getting ranked matchmaking and achievements soon

Temtem has sold 500K copies

Crema, the developer of the new Temtem MMO, has dropped some details for the next phase of development on their game.  “During the game’s development cycle, ideas change constantly and stuff we like today we might not like as much tomorrow. So take everything in here not as confirmed facts, but more like the stuff we would like to include in the game,” it said in the update post. Let’s dive into what this new update has in store for players.

Spring 2020

This set of updates focuses on PvP modes primarily, with full ranked matches coming during this time. The systems will be  “based on ELO (aka TMR – Tamer Matchmaking Rating)” and it will make use of a combination of systems to level the playing field. TMR will be used to determine matchmaking placement, and then the game will apply some other balance tweaks. All SVs will be maxed out, and all Temtem will be pegged at max level to normalize their stats.

This auto-scaling is pretty important to the balance in PvP within Temtem. “With auto-scaling, players will still need to capture and organize their teams, set their preferred TV spread using fruits or training, obtain the necessary gears completing the main or side quests in the game and breeding for their desired egg techniques,” explained Crema. “But, players won’t need to grind for perfect SVs or spend a fortune breeding to reach that point.”

Clubs will also be implemented during this time. These are essentially guilds. Other social features like an in-game chat and spectator mode that allows players to communicate in a few new ways will also be coming as well.

Summer 2020

The Summer updates will introduce new player housing and tons of customization options within. All Temtem tamers will be eligible for a house on Atoll Row, the new central social location in the game. “You will be able to decorate your house using furniture bought and earned in-game, and every furniture store in the Archipelago will open their doors and will showcase different furniture in each island (in a similar way as the boutiques with the clothing options),” explained Crema.

Kisiwa will be the first of the new islands added to the game, coming with 25 more entries to the monster roster.

Fall 2020

The last major set of additions for this year include the new island of Cipanku, complete with 25 more Temtem to catch. Temtem will be adding achievements to the game, so you will be able to push for some new achievements for those that like to hunt those as well as the new Temtem.
