Sony has announced a new PS4 Pro bundle for the upcoming Spider-Man exclusive game.
Releasing alongside the PS4 exclusive Spider-Man on September 7, the “Amazing Red” PS4 Pro will cost 399.99 USD or 499.99 CAD. The bundle will include a limited edition Spider-Man themed 1TB PS4 Pro, a matching DualShock 4 controller, a copy of the Spider-Man game, and DLC vouchers.
One of the pieces of DLC is the “City Never Sleeps” pack which adds three new levels to the game. The release of that post-launch content will also mark an initiative by Insomniac Games to continue supporting the game with content post-release, all the while not adding predatory microtransactions, so that’s good.
It’s not surprising that this new bundle will have a limited run, like the previous Pro bundles for God of War and the like. So budget conscious gamers who want a PS4 Pro may want to jump on this bundle with a pre-order. And it’s definitely worth it, since this edition of the console is the same price as the MSRP for a normal PS4 Pro, which means you’re effectively getting a copy of Spider-Man for free. The unique controller is a really slick addition as well. For those you that like non-standard colors, you should enjoy the snazzy red/white color combo.
