Bandai Namco has announced another new character for SoulCalibur VI, this time it’s the “Leader of Humanity” Azwel. Though judging from this trailer, I’m conerned about the current state of humanity, because Azwel is nuts. Not only is he constantly spewing creepy Soliloquy about how much he loves humanity, especially when near death, he’s also able to teleport weapons into battle out of nowhere. He definitely feels like an insane Final Fantasy XV boss, although that’s probably a feeling I get because I’ve been playing that game again recently. All in all, he feels like a fine addition to the roster.
In terms of gameplay, Azwel wields a weapon called Palindrome. Which is itself a myriad weapon that Azwel can teleport around the battlefield at will. He has the ability to combine multiple different weapons into a single devastating attack as well.
