Assassin’s Creed Odyssey has yet more gameplay footage today, with a new trailer from Ubisoft walking players through their hunt for the powerful and elusive Medusa.
Luckily for you, you’ll be playing a pretty tough fighter by the time you finally track this foe down and do battle inside it’s lair.
And make no mistake about it, Medusa is no pushover. Not only can she easily turn you into stone, but she has multiple combat abilities to keep you on your toes. While zipping around the combat arena trying to petrify you, she’ll rain down energy projectiles and AoE attacks all over the place. She can also summon a variety of minions to keep you distracted. This fight will certainly be an exercise in patience and timing for players in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
Medusa also has plenty of help in the form of other obstacles as well. The time you spend wandering the sea and land in Assassin’s Creed Odyssey will be littered with clues, and occasional fights, all of which both paint the way to the final fight with Medusa, but also act as walls to gate your progress. In short, you better come prepared with a high-level character and amazing abilities if you want to take this challenge on.
