Today Bandai Namco Entertainment announced two returning characters for the upcoming fighting game SoulCalibur VI.
The two characters are Ivy and Zasalamel, and both look as angry and combative as ever. They’re respectively the 7th and 8th characters revealed for the game after Sophitia, Mitsurugi, Grøh, Kilik, Nightmare and Xianghua, with Grøh being the only returning character from the previous game.
And as usual, Ivy has a design that makes the word “skimpy” sound modest. Zasalamel by contrast is a character with so many layers of spikes and horns that I’m surprised he isn’t described as “menacing with spikes”.
With the exception of the first game in the Soul fighting game franchise, Ivy has appeared in every Soulcalibur game to date. Zasalamel, who first appeared in Soulcalibur 3 and quickly became one of the series’ most popular characters is making his return in his quest for the Soulcalibur blade.
