PlayStation Now adding a Collections feature, and some new games

Playstation Now adds 11 new games

PlayStation Now subscribers are getting a bunch of new games, and some new features to make finding new games they might want to play easier.

The new Collections features for Playstation Now will bundle games on the service based on platform, genre, and themes. Since there’s more than 700 games on the service as of now, this is a huge help for not getting lost in the din. And with the pre-download feature which allows games to be installed to the PS4 HDD, these new sorting capabilities will make it easier to enjoy great games.

In addition to the new Collections features, some new games are being put into the expanding library of titles on the streaming service. Some great games in there too, Mafia 3 is an excellent action-adventure title with a long pedigree that only got better with that entry. The story is also incredibly on-point. The pair of games in the Destroy All Humans! franchise is a personal favorite of mine. The satirical take on 50s era hysteria and fear-mongering, mixed in with the heavy dose of campy sci-fi makes for some great gaming experiences that I remember fondly from playing those on the original PS2 versions.

Here’s the full list of new additions coming to the game library of Playstation Now:

  • Baja Edge of Control HD
  • Battle Chasers: Nightwar
  • Destroy All Humans! (PS2)
  • Destroy All Humans! 2 (PS2)
  • Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2
  • Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland (PS2)
  • LocoRoco Remastered
  • Mafia 3
  • Steep
  • Vikings: Wolves of Midgard
  • World to the West

Check out the full announcement details over the the Playstation Blog. You can get a free 7-day trial of the service to test out if it’s right for you, so why not take the dive. PlayStation Now is a cloud gaming subscription service which allows gamers to play a variety of PS2, PS3 and PS4 titles on demand. PlayStation Now subscriptions cost $19.99 per month, but bundles do exist for some discount at an annual buy-in of $99.99 up-front.
