Rocket League: Ultimate Edition announced, coming this month

Many of you are no doubt aware of the smash-hit racing-brawler that is Rocket League that was released back in 2015. What started as a simple blend of racing games and sporty football game modes quickly became a global phenomenon that spawned multiple versions of the game for PC, Xbox One and PS4 game consoles.

Rocket League: Ultimate Edition was announced this week. The first physical version of the game includes all on-disc DLC, as well as the base game with all the modes and cars you know and love. And the new version includes multiple new car packs, arenas and other goodies that were paid DLC in the past.

The release of this new version coincides with the launch of the $9.99 Rocket Pass subscription for Rocket League. That new service will allow gamers to gain access to free-to-play and paid premium content within the game on a seasonal basis.

Rocket League: Ultimate Edition includes:

  • Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice Car Pack
  • Chaos Run DLC Pack
  • DC Super Heroes DLC Pack
  • Revenge of the Battle-Cars DLC Pack
  • Supersonic Fury DLC Pack
  • Aftershock, Esper, Marauder, Masamune, Proteus, Triton and Vulcan DLC Battle-Cars

Rocket League: Ultimate Edition releases August 28 as a physical release  and will cost $40 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and $50 on Nintendo Switch.
