Pikmin 3 Deluxe bringing new DLC, difficulty modes and more to Switch

Pikmin 3 Deluxe

Nintendo has confirmed a new Switch port that’s sure to have GameCube and Wii U fans excited. A new version of the classic sequel Pikmin 3 is coming to the portable console. Nintendo has announced Pikmin 3 Deluxe for the Nintendo Switch, and it will launch on October 30, 2020. The new title hints at the fact that the new version will basically be the best way to play Pikmin 3.

“With new difficulty options, lock-on targeting, optional hints and the choice to play at a more relaxed pace, it’s easier than ever to join in on the Pikmin fun, enjoy the game’s beautiful scenery and get a taste of what this vibrant world has to offer,” read the press release.

Being an expanded version of the game on the Switch, players can expect all the bells and whistles. Pikmin 3 was originally released in 2013 for Wii U. It got more DLC over time and included new levels and other additions. The Switch port will have all of that and more. There will be a lot to experience, and even some new stuff for gamers who played the Wii U variant.

The original game will of course be there, but the added modes like a new difficulty selection should add some new challenge. There will also be new side-stories to take on, alongside all of the mission mode DLC added in the Wii U version. Players will also finally be able to play through the whole life of the 2013 title.
