Jump Force will get more characters, this time from Rurouni Kenshin

Jump Force TGS 2018 Yu Yu Hakusho Gameplay

Some new characters may well be coming to Jump Force, although we’ll have to wait for official confirmation to be sure. The primary characters Himura Kenshin and Shishio Makoto of the Rurouni Kenshin series appear to be the next set of fighters coming to the game. Hopefully Bandai Namco puts out the announcement and trailer soon, because fans are really hyped for this series to join the ranks.

Let’s be honest, Jump Force is turning into massive game. With so many characters, both playable and not, joining in on the brawl, anime and manga fans have a lot to look forward to.

Speaking of this new addition, Rurouni Kenshin debuted in 1994. The series follows a wandering swordsman named Himura Kenshin, a former assassin looking to turn his life around. Shishio Makoto is the antagonist in one of the arcs, and is incredibly violent and evil.

And in case you were wondering, here’s a rundown of all of the playable characters in the game so far, as well as their source material:

  • Dragon Ball: Goku, Vegeta, Frieza
  • One Piece: Luffy, Zoro, Blackbeard, Sanji, Sabo
  • Naruto: Naruto, Sasuke
  • Bleach: Ichigo, Aizen, Rukia
  • Yu-Gi-Oh!: Yugi
  • Saint Seiya: Seiya, Shiryu
  • Hunter X Hunter: Gon, Killua, Kurapika, Hisoka
  • YuYu Hakusho: Yusuke, Toguro

Jump Force is set to launch for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in February 2019. In other news, you could check out more gameplay from TGS this year, as well as details about the Collector’s Edition that will grace consoles. You might also want to look into the game’s excellent soundtrack.

If you want to check out more of the characters and stages in the game, there’s plenty to gawk at in other trailers. During TGS 2018, characters from Yu Yu Hakusho and Hunter X Hunter were revealed. Yugi Moto from Yu-Gi-Oh! was another addition to be unveiled after that.
