Is Sniper Elite 5 Cross Platform?

Sniper Elite 5 is out now on various consoles and PC, and it has found tons of early hype. You can fight a war truly your own way in the depths off the bloody conflict that was WWII. Alongside a roster of new missions and an arsenal of iconic WWII weapons, there are a bunch more features thrown in this time around. Weapon variety also brings along with it a mountain of options for customization to fit your playstyle. You can truly fight the war of attrition against the fascists in your own way.

But with all this new stuff to do, there’s a lot of interest in playing with friends—along with all the game modes, there’s a bit of multiplayer action to goof around with, and fans want to play together. And with all the different options for platforms, there’s a lot of gamers who might not have the same platforms as their pals. Currently, there are ports of the game for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam and Xbox Game Pass. The Epic Games Store will also get a version in the near future.

Now, you might be wondering a very common question for the modern gaming landscape. Can you play with all your friends. Cross-platform play is very common for many big AAA releases, although barriers exist. Makers of consoles often don’t want to play nice with PC gamers, for various reasons, and that may be the case here as well. So that begs the question, can you play Sniper Elite 5 cross platform?

Players have access to a bunch of different modes within these core gameplay styles. PvP modes are pretty common, with both free-for-all modes and team-based modes being all included. Players can also take on hordes of enemies in a PvE Survival mode.

The game features drop-in functionality for both co-op and the invasion mode, so you can take a break at any time. If your buddy needs a bathroom break, that’s no problem this time around.
