How to Make Glass in Icarus

The first thing you need to do is unlock the Tier 3 research tree. This is a pretty late-game goal, so focus on building to it. Getting into the depths of the tree can take time, so explore a bit and find the various caves. Eventually, you will find a cave with some Silica Ore in it. This will be needed for later.

To make glass in Icarus, you must place Silica Ore into a Concrete Furnace. That means you need to unlock and build the actual furnace. And no, lower-tier furnaces won’t work. You first need to build the right tools.

The recipe to make a Concrete Furnace is:

  • 12 Iron Ingot
  • 8 Rope
  • 12 Epoxy
  • 20 Concrete Mix

Once you have the furnace, you can begin hunting for Silica Ore. You will find this in caves in all the different biomes.
Glass can be cooked and then used in various recipes. You can make Jars, Doors and other items. You can even build structures out of glass with Glass Walls, Glass Angled Walls and more.
