There are many different powerful enchantments in Diablo 2, and with the release of Diablo 2 Resurrected, a lot of people seem to need a refresher. Many items in the game can be enchanted using the socket system. A Lore helm in Diablo 2: Resurrected is a good mid-game choice for players looking to get a small power boost for that level 30 or so character. Here’s how to get this useful piece of kit.
What is the Lore Helm recipe?
The runeword for this item is OrtSol, so that means you need a few things to make it work.
- A two-socket item
- Ort Rune
- Sol Rune
Remember, you need to place the items into the recipe in the order listed above. So start with the item being enhanced, following with the Ort Rune, then finishing with the Sol Rune. This recipe must be done in this order to get the Lore effect.
The items are mostly relegated to higher difficulty settings. The Hellforge on nightmare difficulty has a 1 in 11 chance to drop various Runes, one of which can be Sol or the needed Ort runes. The Countess’ extra rune drops on nightmare or hell difficulty can include Sol and Ort runes too.
You can also combine 3 Amn and a chipped amethyst to get a Sol Rune, using the cube. The Horadric Cube recipe for an Ort Rune is 3 Ral.
Lore Stats
Here’s a rundown of the stats added by the Lore helm in Diablo 2: Resurrected:
- +1 To All Skill Levels
- +10 To Energy
- +2 To Mana After Each Kill
- Lightning Resist +30%
- Damage Reduced By 7
- +2 To Light Radius
So it’s up to you to decide if the mana leech and other elements are worth it to your builds. Even if you’re not getting into some crafts, these Runes have their uses. Ort and Sol Runes are useful for low-level rune words such as Insight, and Horadric Cube recipes such as crafting Blood rings.
