Overcooked 2 debuts holiday fun in free Winter Wonderland update

Overcooked 2 Winter Wonderland

The holiday season is in full swing this week. So plenty of game developers are looking to get in on the fun with their own in-game events for their video games. Team 17, makers of Overcooked 2, are also getting in on this trend. The developer has just dropped a new holiday-themed update to their newest cooking title. Team 17 has done a great job with in-game events in the past for Overcooked 2, so this time should be just as much fun.

Called Winter Wonderland, the new content update is free for all. With Winter Wonderland players can get up even more insane stunts in the the co-operative cooking sim. New recipes abound, all with a very holiday feel. If you want to knock out a roast dinner, some Christmas puddings, or even just some nice pancakes, it’s all here. And while Overcooked 2 won’t make you a better cook in real life, it is plenty of fun. Although be careful if the friends you’re playing with don’t like being given the Gordon Ramsay treatment when they screw up three orders in a row.

There’s two new chefs as well. One is literally just a reindeer, while the other is called Present Head chef. Three guesses what his gimmick is.

Horde Mode has also been updated in this patch. There’s a handful of Christmasy enemies to take on as well.

The update should be live now, and you can check out a trailer below. Overcooked 2 is available now for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC. If you’re in the mood for some chaos in the kitchen, this is the perfect time to get into some festive fun.
