How to get Hydroid Prime and the Athodai for free in Warframe

Warframe Update

TennoCon 2020 is just around the corner. The all-digital event this year includes some exciting news for Warframe fans. riginally planned for July 11, it was pushed back to a new date to give the developers time to switch over to a digital event. “It’s been a turbulent year!” liveops and community director Rebecca Ford said at the time of the delay, and that continues to be true. So with TennoCon 2020 finally happening in a few weeks, it’s time to talk about what we’re likely to see.

The biggest news so far concerns a new expansion, one which Digital Extremes just released a teaser for. The new expansion is called Heart of Deimos and is sure to add some new story threads and missions to the game. At this point, little is known about Heart of Deimos or what the expansion actually contains.

The event will start at 12:30 p.m. EDT on Saturday, August 1st. Here’s the schedule for this year (all instances are EDT):

  • 12:30 p.m. – Welcome to TennoCon
  • 1:00 p.m. – The Artwork of Warframe
  • 2:00 p.m. – Sounds of the System
  • 3:00 p.m. – TennoCon Neighborhood Artwork Present
  • 4:00 p.m. – TennoTrivia
  • 5:00 p.m. – TennoLive Digital Version

Check out the trailer for the new expansion below.

And as a special bonus, those watching on Twitch can get their hands on a special reward. Those who link their Twitch and Warframe accounts and tune in to the TennoLive section can obtain a free Hydroid Prime Warframe and a unique hand cannon known as Athodai. Like all the Prime variants, Hydroid Prime carries with it boosted stats and plenty of unique powers. Keep in mind that in previous years the online giveaways were tied to viewing for 30 minutes consecutively, and that will likely return for TennoCon 2020.

Just as a cool bonus, DE has put several digital and merch packs on sale for the event. And because they’re awesome people, a portion of the proceeds will benefit Autism Ontario London and the Alzheimer Society London and Middlesex.
