Genshin Impact is a whimsical JRPG with lots to do and explore. With an expansive fantasy world, you’re going to spend a lot of time moving between points in the game world. To make things easier the developers have also included a fast travel system. Now you don’t have to slog between each point of foot, saving some time. Here’s how to fast travel in Genshin Impact.
Just open up the main menu and switch over to the map tab. From there, you will see the world as you have explored it so far. You may notice that nearby to any named locations are some small icons, these are fast travel waypoints.
When you open the map, you will see two icons around various points of interest and named areas. There will be grey icons with an empty hole in the middle, these denote fast travel points you haven’t discovered yet. The white icons with a blue dot are fast travel locations you have already unlocked in the game. You will need to travel to any greyed out icons and interact with them to trigger them. Once you have interacted with the fast travel waypoints, they are unlocked permanently.
From there, you can simply open the map and click on an unlocked point to fast travel to your chosen location. Just press the button noted on the UI to fast travel while hovering over the icon.
You will want to use the system when trying to get around, whether you’re hunting treasure or taking on bosses, there are plenty of ways to make fast travel in Genshin Impact useful.
