How to farm Orokin Cells in Warframe (2021)

How to farm Orokin Cells in Warframe

The crafting system in Warframe is very complex. There are so many different weapons and items to craft that it takes a lot of work to get them all. Players will need to do a lot of grinding to get things going. If you’re looking to expand the roster of Waframes, you will need tons of these Cells. Orokin Cells in Warframe are one of the more commonly needed resources.

Also, if you want to get into the Railjack content, there’s another layer of farming to be done. That’s a bit of work, so be prepared to farm multiple locations.

Anyway, on to the guide. Of the many items you will need for crafting in this game, Orokin Cells are one of the most common. Various Prime weapons and Warframes both make use of these rare drops in different quantities, so you’re going to need to farm a bunch of them, here’s how.

How to farm Orokin Cells in Warframe

There are three main planets on the Star Map to head for when looking for Orokin Cells:
(Left to right, most common drops on the left)

  • Saturn – Helene, Telesto
  • Ceres – Exta, Gabii
  • The Derelict

The Orokin Derelict might seem like the first place many players opt for when wanting to target drops of this rare item, but hang on.

Those high-level players wanting more Cells will want to head for Saturn and aim for Helene. Killing the bosses like Sargus Ruk will almost always give you some Orokin Cell drops. Just keep redoing the mission and killing the boss to get a decent supply. Helene is also really good for getting Mastery with new weapons in a good group since it’s a Defense mission. Farming these nodes and the Sargus Ruk boss drops are the quickest way for high-level players to farm Orokin Cells in Warframe.

For lower-level players there are a couple of options, depending on if you’re solo or with a team. The Cell Arrays found on both Gabii and Telesto can sometimes spawn, break these open and you have a chance to grab some easy Cells.

The best source for a sustained farming spot of Orokin Cells are Assassination and Invasion missions on any of two planets mentioned above. And just like with any sustained farming missions, it’s always a good idea to have a  team backing you up for long sessions. Bringing along a Hydroid with Pilfering Swarm or Nekros with Desecrate, or another similar build that helps increase item drop rates, is vital for getting the drops you want.
