Black Desert Online is coming to Xbox One, and it looks great

Xbox One

Korean developer Pearl Abyss is working on a BDO port for the Xbox One. The expansive and high-detailed MMORPG will work best on Xbox One X, judging from the GDC 2018 footage that you can view below. The Ranger and the Witch are shown off in the gameplay, but one assumes that the other classes in BDO will be available as well.

The game is coming for Xbox One with a target release around the summer, while we don’t have precise information about the teased PS4 version. It’s currently available for PC. There’s also some rumors that a Nintendo Switch version is under consideration. Pearl Abyss is aiming for 4K at 30 FPS with this console port.

Not much is known about what regions and features will be included as of yet. Pearl Abyss has made it clear that they intend to constantly expand Black Desert Online for all users as time goes on. They also acknowledge that the console may take some getting used to, but they’re working to optimize the experience:

Additionally, even though the control system for Black Desert Online’s unique character and skill actions is optimized for console, we are planning to provide a way for new users to be able to adapt and use the controls on console with ease.

For those of you haven’t laid eyes on the impressive and beautiful landscapes and character designs of BDO, now might be your chance.
