Hearts of Iron IV: Man the Guns expansion announced

Pardox has announced another new expansion at PDXCON 2018. Hearts of Iron IV: Man the Guns is ready for battle stations. This latest expansion will also come with a free update and it will be available “soon”.

The newest addon for HOI IV is all about naval combat. According to Paradox, they want this DLC to do to naval combat and usability what Waking the Tiger did for aerial combat. In this expansion, ship retrofits and upgrades are getting a detailing pass, making the process of improving existing ship designs a lot more interesting.

But it’s not just navies getting an overhaul. New political options for Democratic powers in HOI IV are being added. With this release, you won’t have to forsake Democratic values and rush to Fascism to start warmongering anymore. Now you can “spread freedom” to the rest of the world under a banner of democracy. How particularly American.

Man the Guns is the newest expansion to the best-selling grand strategy wargame, Hearts of Iron IV. Paradox Development Studio will have more to say in coming weeks, but, for now, our intelligence agents have been cleared to forward the following information:

Man the Guns adds greater depth to the naval side of the war, including the ability to design your warships in more detail. Add armor or heavier guns through a modular design. You can also refit older ships so that they are more in line with the latest technology.

Man the Guns also introduces new options for the democratic nations, including new paths for the United States and other great free nations. Explore alternate histories or fully mobilize the arsenal of democracy.
