Today Bandai Namco Entertainment revealed a new trailer showing two massively-anticipated characters that are joining the Jump Force cast, Jotaro Kujo and Dio Brando.
The addition of the incredibly campy and inexplicably popular manga and anime property is something fans have wanted since Jump Force was announced, and now Bandai Namco has delivered. The developers teased the announcement a few weeks ago, then followed it up with some screenshots showcasing two of the major characters from the amazing property that is JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure is arguably the most iconic manga and anime franchise ever, and since its original debut in 1987 in Weekly Shounen Jump, it’s gained a huge following all over the globe. It’s a major property and has put out light novels, TV series, OVAs, and even really so-bad-it’s-good live-action movies over the decades.
The stands and other absurd powers rendered in Jump Force is just a sliver of the insanity contained within JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. And if you want to get a nice dose of fighting game and JoJo action ahead of the launch of this new game, might I suggest you grab a copy of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle.
This is of course just a tiny portion of the hyped fighting game that is Jump Force. There was a recent batch of screenshots hyping up various additions from the Naruto universe. There was also a trailer showing some of them in action. You could also take a look at some gameplay footage showing off the deep character creator. There’s also a trailer detailing the story in the game.
If you want to see some more characters in action, there’s plenty to gawk at in other trailers. During TGS 2018, characters from Yu Yu Hakusho and Hunter X Hunter were revealed. Yugi Moto from Yu-Gi-Oh! was another addition to be unveiled after that. Another recent character source was the Rurouni Kenshin property. And that’s just the beginning.
Look above at the newly released screenshots showing Dio and Jotaro Kujo from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure in action. Jump Force will launch for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on February 15. If you’d like to pre-order the game, and snag yourself some nice bonuses, you can do so right now on Amazon.
