Stardew Valley is a really great game, no one who’s a fan of the genre can really dispute that. This time vampire can easily eat an afternoon without breaking a sweat. Who would have thought that digital farming and relationship building would be so compelling? The game got better and better over the last four years with new storylines and expanded content, including the multiplayer mode added in the previous 1.4 patch. And it turns out that ConcernedApe is working on something new with the next patch cycle.
Stardew Valley 1.5 will also include a bunch of other great stuff as well. The solo developer behind Concerned Ape, Eric Barone has revealed the new batch of content headed in Stardew Valley 1.5. The patch will provide players with more new content and some bug fixes. As the developer revealed on Twitter, there’s some good stuff coming. Although there were no details, we can expect some pretty interesting new content.
“Now that 1.4 is out on all intended platforms,” he said, “I’d like to announce that there will be another free content update (1.5).” he said during the announcement.
The Stardew Valley 1.5 update
No one really knows what the new patch will include, but we can easily make some general guesses. 1.4 included the multiplayer mode along with a bunch of bug fixes and minor gameplay tweaks. Players have endlessly contributed to the development of the hit indie farming sim through various feedback and a fair bit of modding. WIth the 1.4 updates adding multiplayer functionality, we could reasonably expect an improvement on this idea. New storylines, characters, and customization elements are likely as well.
Barone has stated that, in addition to the Stardew Valley 1.5 update, he’s also working on some new games. According to his teaser on Twitter, he just wants to make great games. Concerned Ape has generated a ton of hype with their smash-hit and fans are eagerly awaiting to see what else comes out of this brilliant indie dev. As he said, “I’m not setting out to make the next indie smash hit, I just want to make another game that I enjoy and am happy with.”
