GRID to add 33 new Career Events and Paris circuit in Season One

Codemasters teases return to GRID in 2019

GRID is roaring back onto the track. Codemasters has revealed that a ton of new content is coming to one of their racing franchises. The content will feature new elements for petty much every element of the game. There’s going to be new vehicles, loads of new events and a new course inspired by the City of Lights, Paris.

As part of this Season 1 update, there will actually be multiple batches of new content. As detailed on the Codemasters blog, the new content will be around the theme of the ‘Hot Hatch Showdown’, giving players plenty of choice. In all, there are more than thirty new career events spread out all over the globe and different race types. There’s 33 of them in all.

But that’s not all, the DLC will also include four brand new cars – the MINI Hatch JCW, Lancia Delta HF Integrale Super Hatch, Renault S1600, and the AUDI S1 quattro Concept.  Those last four are exclusive to GRID’s Ultimate Edition, but don’t fret if that’s not you. Other players will have the option to play with the Renault Clio as a loan car in Free Play and Multiplayer modes.

That new course will definitely include representations of iconic landmarks like the Effiel Tower and the Arc de Triomphe. So gamers will be able to race through the streets of Paris while taking in the sights. The new track will have three different layouts, with each one having a reverse version as well. And finally, each of these track variants will be fully compatible with the weather and time options present on other tracks in GRID.

The content drops will be out for all GRID players from December 4 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. GRID also recently launch on Google Stadia, pushing a new game mode into the fray. The Stadia version of the racing title includes a 40-car mode unique to the service.
