GRID’s first gameplay trailer chases glory

Codemasters teases return to GRID in 2019

GRID is the latest racing title coming out of Codemasters, OK well it’s more of a reboot of a racing game franchise, but it’s still a new game nonetheless. Codemasters has been a little quiet on the details with GRID though. We do know that the game will have more than 70 cars when it launches later this year. These cars will be able to race around 12 different tracks in a variety of game modes.

The included game modes in GRID run the gamut for common features in racing games, like Time Trial, Hot Lap, and Oval Racing. Codemasters isn’t resting on racing laurels though, as they’re going to include some interesting twists to the formula like Skirmish. This mode offers a much more combative focus to racing laps in the game, so be on the lookout for more details about that.

But for now, gamers will have to be content with just a new gameplay trailer showing off some of these cars, tracks and modes. Check out that new trailer down below.

GRID will be heading to PC, PS4, and Xbox One. An “Ultimate Edition” package will be available that contains the main game and access to its various DLC packs on release. Players who pre-order the ultimate bundle will receive early-access to GRID on Oct. 8, 2019.
