The next of the expansions for Pokémon Sword & Shield is about to land. And now The Pokémon Company has a pretty big announcement. If you’re someone who didn’t have the ability to buy the DLC online, we’ve got good news.
The first of the packs, Isle of Armor, added its own Legendary and more than 200 new Pokédex entries. And now, with Crown Tundra, players will get even more. And because it really makes sense, the DLC pack will be sold as a physical bundle. It has been announced that the expansion passes for Pokémon Sword & Shield will be receiving physical releases, launching on November 6.
This move will give more players access to the DLC, as the game’s DLC was previously only available online as a bundle. But even that, the game has seen some explosive sales. The Switch base game ahs set records for the entire franchise, which is crazy for a 20-year long franchise.
The new content will include a new region filled with icy biomes and more stuff to explore. The Galarian Pokédex is about to get bigger as well, as a bunch of previous Generations of Legendary Pokémon will also come over on Crown Tundra. This is part of the new Dynamax Adventures system that includes more complex Raiding content. players will get access to the chance to catch more than 50 Legendary Pokémon.
You can get the bundle with both DLC packs in a single release, either via physical or digital editions when the second one releases on October 23. The Crown Tundra expansion is set to release on Nintendo Switch on October 23, and Nintendo has also revealed that a new retail bundle for both games, which includes the DLC, will come out on November 6.
