Free games for Playstation Plus in March 2019

Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced the March 2019 lineup of free games for PlayStation Plus subscribers. This announcement joins Microsoft and their competing Xbox Live Gold service in giving away free games for XBL members in March 2019.

There are two games in this bundle, both for PS4.

The first game up for grabs is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. The Call of Duty franchise is a storied and iconic brand within the FPS genre, and this particular entry is considered one of the stronger contenders for the best entry by hardcore fans. Modern Warfare Remastered came out in 2016, bringing the gritty and ultra-fast combat to the new platforms in full HD, it looks great and FPS fans loved it.

2016’s The Witness rounds out the offering next month. This incredibly heady puzzle game features a very intense and vibrant world which creates stark contrast with the somewhat dark narrative. The Witness brings ambitious and mind-breaking complexity to an idyllic world, and it’s an incredibly good pickup for those that love puzzles and solving them.

Check out the trailer showing the two new games for the bundle down below. Both titles will be available to download from PlayStation Store from March 5 to April 1, 2019. The February titles for PS Plus are still up for grabs. This bundle of course included action-brawler For Honor and the stealth title Hitman: The Complete First Season. That was the last bundle to feature PS3 and Vita titles for free. Make sure to claim those before the end of the month though, as they’ll no longer be available after March 8th.

Sony also ended Vita production earlier this month, so it’s clear that Sony is focusing on more important platforms. All that said, gamers can still get some great PS4 games for free. What do you think of these new free games? Let us know in the comments.
