PlayStation Plus – Free Games Lineup February 2019

Playstation Plus February 2019

It’s that time of the month again, Sony is once again offering free games to paid subscribers of Playstation Plus. Gamers who jump on board the gaming service not only get access to online multiplayer functions and other goodies, but they’re also getting free games every month.

This time around, PS Plus members can grab titles like Ubisoft’s For Honor, IO Interactive’s Hitman: The Complete First Season, Konami’s Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Iron Galaxy’s Divekick, and more. So if you want to snag some cool free games, get onto the Playstation Plus train.

There is a bit of bad news though, this bundle marks the final time that PS3 and PS Vita titles will be a part of the fun. After February 2019, Sony is planning to shift away from the aging platforms when March 8th rolls around, but you’ll still get access to any games claimed as part of the bundles of the past. The PlayStation Blog post revealing this lineup states that “any PS3 and PS Vita games you’ve already downloaded, or will download, prior to March 8, 2019 will still be part of your PS Plus games library as long as you remain a member.”

So in short, as long as you add the PS3 and Vita titles to your library, they’re yours for as long as you’re a paying PS Plus member. Sony has yet to provide details on what the plan is after the phase-out for PS3 and PS Vita titles, perhaps they will offer more PS4 indie titles in their place.

Another major change is that this upcoming month marks the change of storage space on Playstation Cloud service, from s tiny 10 GB to a much more generous cap of  100 GB. This should help gamers who are struggling with storage space on their consoles. Although Sony and Seagate just announced a partnership to produce branded external hard drives that will help in this area as well.

And if you’re looking for more great deals on games, Sony and Humble Bundle just announced a special bundle for PS4 titles like Killing Floor 2 and Layers of Fear.

Regardless of that plan, you’re still getting some great games. You can see the full lineup across all three platforms, for the final time, below:

  • For Honor (PS4)
  • Hitman: The Complete First Season (PS4)
  • Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots (PS3)
  • Divekick (PS3 and PS Vita)
  • Gunhouse (PS Vita and PS4)
  • Rogue Aces (PS Vita and PS4)

And to commemorate this latest bundle, Sony once again published a trailer showing each of these title in action, which can be seen below.
