Farming Simulator 22 continues to cultivate a crop of new content for farming fans all over the globe. The prospect of growing crops, culling trees for lumber and so much more has appealed to a legion of farming aspirants. You can even raise pigs and other livestock. Now, with a planned expansion coming later this year, things are heating up. The big focus is an entirely new map, but that’s not all.
Hundreds of authentic machines from the world’s most renowned brands are already in the game, but the expansion is set to add even more. The new version of the game coming to PC and consoles is a whole-fat expansion, complete with a mountain of new content. There’s just too much to cover here. The Platinum Edition will add over 40 new machines, increasing the total vehicles and tools well over 500. This includes cutting-edge technology, like the Volvo L200H High Lift.
New brands, including Volvo and others, join the fleet of over 100 big players of the industry (like Case IH, CLAAS, DEUTZ-Fahr, Fendt, John Deere, Massey Ferguson, New Holland, Valtra and many others)
Modders are already having a field day adding new content, but now they get a whole new map to play with as well. The map is called “Silverrun Forest”, inspired by the Pacific Northwest. It offers woody landscapes, as well as new production chains and contracts. There’s a lot of things to do and money to be made.
Along with a new patch bringing bug fixes and the like, the real star of this DLC harvest is the new map. According to the PlayStation blog on the topic, Farming Simulator 22 Platinum Edition will be the best version of the game yet. “Farming Simulator 22 gets a big and shiny upgrade with the upcoming Platinum Edition. What this means is, well… it’s the perfect way to start your new life as a virtual farmer,” they say.
And with that new map and new host of machines, comes tons more fun. According to the announcement, Platinum Edition launches on November 15 of this year.
