Even more Resident Evil 2 gameplay shows Claire taking on Mr. X

Resident Evil 2 Claire Gameplay Unstoppable Tyrant

Mr. X, infamously tough and horrifying Resident Evil enemy, will feature in the upcoming remake of Resident Evil 2.

The T-00 or Tyrant T-model G-virus sample has become one of the most iconic enemies in the Resident Evil franchise, even going on to inspire the design, and influence the lore, of Resident Evil 3 and the Nemesis. This original T-00 which we see in the new gameplay from Capcom was originally airdropped into Raccoon City as a test of it’s usefulness, and it went on to cause untold chaos. It confronted survivors Claire Redfield, Leon Scott Kennedy, Sherry Birkin, Ada Wong, and HUNK a number of times throughout the course of the game, and it looks even more threatening in this new version of the classic survival-horror title.

In addition to the gameplay, Capcom also decided to include a cutscene toward the end of the video that features Claire receiving a phone call from some unknown figure, one who seems to know a lot more about what’s going on than they seemingly should. This eerie tone in the cutscene is echoed throughout the rest of the game in both gameplay elements and overall visual design. Capcom is definitely going for a much more intense and threatening gameplay experience with the remake, and the T-oo will absolutely help with that feeling.

If you want to see more of the Resident Evil 2 remake, you should go take a look at some more gameplay showing Ada Wong and Robert Kendo. There’s also some teasers for a completely new “Orphanage” area that’s been made uniquely for the remake, which looks to tell more of the story of Sherry Birkin. If this game looks incredible to you, and it should if you’re a fan of the franchise, then maybe you should head over and check out some gory gameplay footage. Maybe you’re a PC gamer who might pick this up, in that case you should check out the Resident Evil 2 Remake system requirements.
