Embracer Group has 70 unannounced games in the works

Destroy All Humans! Remake Announced by THQ Nordic

Embracer Group, the newly bought-in parent company of Saber Interactive, has made quite a splash in the video game industry. The major publisher has teased their plans for 2020 and beyond, and they’re massive. Embracer Group apparently has more than 70 unannounced games in the works. The company is also working with a sum total of 3,000 game developers across their global partners.

The Swedish holding company has been slowly grabbing new and developed studios for some time. Since beginning their period of expansion in 2011, they have acquired the likes of Dambuster Studios, Gunfire Games, Piranha Bytes, and Tarsier Studios. The publisher has also made inroads in founding new ventures like Nine Rocks Games and THQ Barcelona. In total, Embracer Group is partnered with 31 studios worldwide. In all Embrader has 118 games in development.

As of now, the company is planning on pushing out many games. They have the likes of Destroy all Humans! and WWE 2K Battlegrounds in the works. And with more than 70 games in various stages, it’s going to be a very busy couple of years. The holding company expects “substantial growth” off of these releases too.

Embracer Group Plans for the Future

“I genuinely believe that we have one of the industry’s most exciting pipelines of upcoming games, engaging over 3,000 game developers across the world,” said CEO Lars Wingefors in the accompanying press release. “We expect substantial growth in the current financial year driven by a large number of high quality releases, for which we are excited to the reception among gamers. We expect the value of completed games will more than double from [$60 million] to SEK [ in the current financial year ending March 31, 2021.”

Not to be left behind their subsidiary Saber Interactive has made their own waves. Their newest game SnowRunner has made a big launch with more than 1 million copies sold.
