Pathfinder: Kingmaker showcases character creation system in new trailer

Pathfinder: Kingmaker Character Creation

Deep Silver has sent out a new trailer to show off character creation in Pathfinder: Kingmaker. Ever since the game ran it’s successful Kickstarter campaign, raising more than $900,000 to make a full scale CRPG based on the Pathfinder tabletop game. And since the Pathfinder ruleset is based on the D&D 3.5 system, there’s a huge amount of customization and player choice involved in the game’s six chapter story.

And with that massive amount of variable customization, players will have nearly endless opportunity to replay the game with a new character choice and skill set.

It’s this player choice that’s the focus of the newest trailer for Pathfinder: Kingmaker, putting the spotlight totally on character creation.

Players can choose between literally thousands of different race, class and ability combinations to create just about anything. If there was ever a character concept to outlandish or broken to use in the tabletop game, you can let your imagination run wild here. Characters can of course specialize in different areas by playing to certain archetypes, or you can just get weird with it. If you want a smooth-talking rogue/wizard who charms their way out of danger, but can rely on dangerous magics if their words fall on deaf ears, then you can create that in this game.

Players can even endlessly craft their entire party of companions to create the ultimate group of weirdos or badasses. It’s up to you to find your own path, and the game is laid wide open for players to do just that.

The customization possibilities alone should excite those who love the idea of endlessly tinkering with RPG mechanics to create different builds. And the rich story and thematic trappings of Pathfinder: Kingmaker should be equally appealing to fans looking to live out another epic adventure.

Pathfinder: Kingmaker will debut on Windows, macOS, and Linux on September 25th. Check out the new trailer for the game down below. Let us know what you think of the game in the comments.
