Borderlands 3 hypes up another new trailer

Borderlands 3 "The Borderlands Are Yours" Trailer

So Gearbox and 2K Games are at it again. With another new trailer for Borderlands 3, the company is hoping to lure Vault Hunters back to Pandora. Pandora, the land of Vaults and ancient alien secrets is coming alive again, and it’s up to four new heroes to take on the inhospitable world. This new trailer focuses on the characters within the world, and yes, that includes the new quartet, Amara the Siren, Fl4k the Beastmaster, Moze the Gunner and Zane the Operative.

If you’re interested in those particular fascinating merchants of death and destruction, Gearbox also put out some trailers highlighting their unique abilities. And of course, the incredibly goofy Tiny Tina is coming back.

Of course what would a Borderlands title be without some equally lovable and detestable bad guys? This time, you’re going to be stymied by the psychotic Calypso Twins. Tyreen the Siren and her brother Troy, are a pair built for violence. Along the course of the story, you’ll have to stop their dastardly plans while also accomplishing your own goals, which they will try to muck with in turn.

But a new trailer was just the beginning of the news today concerning Gearbox and their latest title. Borderlands 3 lead writers Danny Homan and Sam Winkler divulged that Borderlands 4 might be a possibility, in an exclusive interview with Dualshockers.

According to the interview, there will be some level of finality to this latest installment.

Sam Winkler is saying Borderlands 3 is “definitely a successor to all the games”, but is not necessarily the end of the franchise as a whole. Instead, the game will, “tie off some threads, have some new threads, and definitely isn’t the end of Borderlands in any way.” Homan reinforces this idea of offering new ideas and plot threads by saying, “there is always room for more story in Borderlands.”

After all, this makes perfect sense. With so many off-shoots, remakes and other Borderlands-related properties floating around, Gearbox wouldn’t want to kill off the golden goose quite yet.

Check out the new exploratory trailer down below. Borderlands 3 will launch for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on September 13.
