Diablo 3 patch 2.6.1 released – Patch Notes

D3-ROS-1

After weeks of PTR testing, the Diablo 3 2.6.1 patch has finally been pushed onto the live servers. Here are the final notes for this update as we now head towards the next Season.

The majority of the work for this patch focuses on addressing item balance, so the patch notes are chock full of those kinds of tweaks. A variety of Uniques and class abilities also got some interesting damage buffs. There have also been some minor adjustments to Rifts and Adventure Mode.

Not too many bug fixes were included in this release, but as D3 is in maintenance mode, it’s not unexpected that the game is in a largely complete state. It will be interesting to see what Blizzard decide to do with the Diablo franchise in the future.

The full patch notes can be found here and they are quite lengthy. Also, don’t forget, Diablo 3 Season 12 starts on Thursday 9 November 5PM PDT/CEST and 5PM KST.
