Hacking and being an effective netrunner is a huge part of the gameplay loop and story in Cyberpunk 2077. There are many weapons you can use in the game, but few are as potent as paralyzing your foes and filling them with digital holes. But you can’t just to around hacking as you please, as hacking and special abilities require RAM. You have a certain amount of it that can be used to power your attacks.

How to get more RAM in Cyberpunk 2077
When you level up, you can allocate more points into Intelligence. If you place a point into intelligence will increase your RAM capacity by 4% This important to do at least a few times, even if your build isn’t focused on hacking as a skill. You can have up to 50 levels which you place into Attribute Points, so it’s important to focus in key areas. If you’re trying to be the best hacker, you need to put more points into Intelligence.
You also gain various bonuses to Quickhacks as well as you pump more points into the stat.
You can also buy certain Cyberdeck upgrades that have higher base stats, and thus more RAM. The first ripperdoc in the game, You can buy the Stephenson Tech Mk.3 from them for 25,000 Eddies. You can also use the new money-making exploits found in the game to make that price tag sting a bit less.
The Cyberdeck is the operating system that powers your hacking. As you unlock more Cyberware, you will need more complex decks. So you will need to put aside some time for upgrades at some point, especially when taking on the endgame missions. A better Cyberdeck will also increase your Buffersize, which is the base stat used for Quickhacks. And those can be very important as well.
And finally, the Quickhacking perks, like Weak Link, will allow you to consume less RAM for your abilities. That’s key when your pool of RAM in Cyberpunk 2077 gets more strained thanks to higher-tier abilities.
